        How can coaching help?

  > Who I am

Helping you achieve your goals

Coaching is powerful process that helps you achieve your goals more quickly and more powerfully than if you were working alone. Coaching works because:

  • It is non-directive. You are in the driving seat and the I do not advise but act as a catalyst to help you to identify and develop your own solutions.
  • It is very actrion-orientated.
  • It supports change and encourages you to stick with your goals and not give up.
  • The coaching relationship is built on confidentiality and trust. Having an external coach encourages greater openess and honesty..

The benefits of coaching

Some of the ways in which I have seen my clients benefit from coaching include:

Making important choices about their careers
Often people who come for coaching are at a crossroads in their working lives. They may be facing outplacement or retirement. They may be unhappy in their current role or wanting to improve their performance. Coaching can help them make the changes they want at a pace that suits them.

Making an impact in a new role
Some of my clients have been newly promoted and coaching has helped them make the impact needed with peers and colleagues. It has helped them influence upwards and raise their profile.

Improving their leadership and change management skills
Coaching can help managers to be better leaders and to lead their teams through difficult time, while maintaining motivation and direction.

Becoming a more confident communicator
I work with many people who want to improve their presentation and communication skills. Coaching can help people communicate with much greater confidence and authenticity.

Coaching can help managers and leaders to maximise resources by:

Helping organisations keep the people that they don't want to lose
Often in times of uncertainty, the best people will start looking around for their next move. Offering them coaching is one way of keeping them – helping you save on recruitment costs and keeping much-needed talent within the organisation.

'Upskilling' people to help them manage new roles and greater responsibility
Recruitment freezes usually mean that people have to take on more and coaching helps them do this more effectively.

Generating savings by encouraging creativity
Coaching can help people 'think out of the box' when times are tough.

Supporting people out of the organisation
Coaching can help people through outplacement, not only supporting them but helping reduce resstance and grievances.

Reducing sick days and increasing productivity
Coaching helps people to be more productive and to manage stress more effectively.
